My notes on vintage conditions and these and other 2015s tasted from barrel (and the white Nuits-Perrière from bottle) at the estate are here.
2015 Nuits-Saint-Georges
Light and pure with juicy dark plum fruit and some minerality, this is outstanding village Nuits. 91(+)/A
2015 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Porrets Saint-Georges
Gouges’s Nuits-Clos des Porrets Saint-Georges is light on on the palate, in fact it floats above the tongue, with red and dark fruits. The wine is not tannic, but all the same there is good structure here and the wine should age well. 93/A
2015 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers
The Nuits-Pruliers has greater density to its deep, dark fruit. Here, too, the wine has good structure without appearing to be tannic. 93(+)/A
2015 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains
The Nuits-Vaucrains is stony in the nose and in the mouth. It has lightness on the palate and dark fruit, but for now it is much more closed than the others, fitting with Gouges’s practice of making the Vaucrains and the Les Saint-Georges wines that need longer aging than the others here. 94(+)/A
