Domaine Joseph DROUHIN (Beaune) -- 2015 Tasted from Bottle

(Originally published 17 August 2018.)

My report on the vintage at Joseph Drouhin and notes on tasting wines there from cask and tank samples and from bottle in November 2016 are here, herehere, and here.

2015 Beaune    1er Cru   Clos des Mouches   blanc
The flagship Beaune-Clos des Mouches white is medium weight with some minerality and just a touch of fat. It should do well for early drinking. 91(+)/A-

2015 Beaune   1er Cru   Clos des Mouches   rouge
The red Beaune-Close des Mouches is stony and pure in the nose. The mouth displays red fruits, freshness, firmness, and a medium-weight body. It should develop into a great Clos des Mouches. 94/A

2015 Musigny
The Musigny is smooth and elegant with oak showing, but like many other 2015s, has largely closed down already. Think about 2035 and after for this wine. 95(+)/A
