FAIVELEY (Nuits-Saint-Georges) -- 2015 Tasted from Bottle

My review of the 2015 vintage conditions and notes on tasting 2015s from cask at Faiveley are here, here, and here.

In white:

2015 Puligny-Montrachet   1er Cru   Champgains
This wine is pure, caressing Puligny in texture and its shows minerality and only the slightest hint of the fat that one often finds in 2015 whites. 92(+)/A

In red:

2015 Mercurey   1er Cru   Le Clos du Roy   La Favorite
La Favorite is a wine Faiveley began making in 2012, selecting two or three top casks from the Mercurey-Clos du Roy production. The penetrating dark fruits have density and penetration. 92/A

2015 Gevrey-Chambertin    1er Cru    Lavaux Saint-Jacques
Faiveley’s Gevrey-Lavaux-Saint-Jacques has most attractive stony, floral aromas. The mouth is light but has good density to its red fruits. There’s the wildness of Gevrey and Lavaux here, but also finesse. 93+/A

2015 Corton — Clos des Cortons Faiveley
This wine, which was so impressive from cask, has now shut down. It is powerful with dense dark fruits, but needs 15-20 years in the cellar to show its full potential. 95(+)/A
