Domaine ROLLIN Père & Fils (Pernand-Vergelesses) -- 2018 Part II: Whites Tasted from Bottle

Please see my introduction to the 2018 vintage at Rollin here.

2018 Bourgogne-Aligoté
Rollin’s Bourgogne-Aligoté is always one of the best around. Mineral clear and fresh; moderate acidity gives some creaminess to the texture. 88/A

2018 Bourgogne-Hautes Côtes de Beaune
Floral aromas. Dense, concentrated, powerful, mineral. Raised 3/4 in barrel, 1/4 in tank. 88(+)/A

2018 Pernand-Vergelesses
Round, creamy, not as powerful as the Bourgogne-Hautes Côtes. Some minerality, but rather closed at this sampling. 87+/B

2018 Pernand-Vergelesses   Les Cloux
Good acidity, rich, ripe, golden apple fruit, fresh. A wine that always shows class. 91/A

2018 Pernand-Vergelesses    1er Cru  Sous Frétille
Richer than Les Cloux with good acidity but not quite the freshness or liveliness. Apple fruit. This is a wine to age for a few years. 91/A-

2018 Corton-Charlemagne
Excellent citric minerality in nose. In mouth, power but finesse. Freshness, some richness; mineral, complex, complete. Relatively subtle at this stage but excellent future. 94/A
