My notes on all the 2017s tasted from barrel are here.
2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Maréchale blanc
The wine is rich but less opulent and a little less concentrated on the mid-palate than the 2018. Attractive citric fruits. 91+/A-
2017 Chambolle-Musigny
Pure, fresh red fruits; light, harmonious, and happy. Just a beautiful Chambolle-Musigny. 92+/A
2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Maréchale rouge
Dark fruits, sensual, pure, and welcoming. 93/A
2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses
Floral aromas. Mouth shows depth to red and dark fruits, length, good concentration, but hasn’t come together yet -- last year it showed even more promise. A wine to hold. 94/A
As I’ve reported in the past, for a number of years, the Musigny has been held off the market. Customers of the 2017s will also have the opportunity to purchase the 2013 Musigny:
2013 Musigny
Spices and complexity in the nose. In mouth, pure red and dark fruist, depth, length, crystallinity. Can begin to drink now, but should improve for at least 15 years more. 96+/A
