This is one of my favorite estates in the Côte Chalonnaise. Should you be lucky enough to come across the wines, don’t pass them up.

2016 Rully blanc
This wine is most attractive white Burgundy. The texture is oily and the wine is medium to medium-light on the tongue with yellow fruits, citrus, walnuts, and freshness. The acidity is adequate but not forcefully expressed. I’d drink this wine over the next five years or so. Lot RU 16bt. 13% stated alcohol. 90/A
2016 Rully 1er Cru La Pucelle blanc
At this premier cru level, you get a Puligny-like wine with an oily, silky texture and precise yellow fruits, good acidity, and plenty of freshness. Lot PUC 16bt. 13% stated alcohol. 91/A
2016 Rully Les Chaponnières rouge
This may not be the best Chaponnières of recent vintages, but it is typical and satisfying with its plumpness and blackberry and strawberry fruit. It may well last longer, but I’d drink this wine over the next 4-5 years for its fruit. Lot CHAP 16bt. 13% stated alcohol. 88/B+
2016 Rully 1er Cru Les Cloux rouge
This wine is a bit more elegant and less plump than the Chaponnières, but it is relatively light. The blackberry and dark cherry fruit is enjoyable, if simple and lacking the depth and concentration of a better wine. I’d drink this wine over the next 4-5 years. Lot CLX 16bt. 13% stated alcohol. 88/B
