These twin domaines are under the under the direction of François Labet and operated biodynamically. The domaines are a little under-the-radar, as quality is high.

Domaine Pierre LABET

2015 Bourgogne   Chardonnay   Vieilles Vignes
This wine is of outstanding quality for a Bourgogne. The superb nose is quite stony. The mouth shows spiced apples with some richness, but no fat. 90/A

2015 Meursault   Les Tillets
Like the Bourgogne, the Tillets has richness but is not fat. The wine is medium-weight with good acidity, and the nose and mouth both show classic Meursault butter and lime. 91(+)/A

2015 Beaune   1er Cru    Coucherais
Changing to red, the Coucherais, too, is very good. The wine is light on the palate with finesse and red fruits. With a bit more focus, this wine would be truly special.  91/A-

Domaine du CHÂTEAU DE LA TOUR

2015 Clos Vougeot   Vieilles Vignes
This wine shows finesse for a Clos Vougeot combined with depth, lightness on the palate, and purity to its dark fruits. 94+/A
