Only the Beaune  Clos des Mouches is an estate wine, although some of the others contain wine from Drouhin-owned property, as indicated.

2022 Rully

Drouhin’s red Rully is a reliable value. The nose is fragrant and filled with red fruits, and the mouth is pure and rich with raspberry fruit. The wine is round, has minerality, and is pure enjoyment. I believe that there is some estate fruit here, but I do not have the exact percentage. (89-92)

2022 Santenay

The Santenay also is also excellent for those looking for high quality without paying a huge sum. The wine features black and red raspberry fruit, minerality, a velvet texture, balance, length, nervosity, and energy — quite good for a village wine from an appellation a bit out of the public eye. (90-92)

2022 Savigny-les-Beaune   1er Cru   Fourneaux

The Savigny-Fourneaux is round, balanced, rich, and has a velvet texture. This is 80% from Drouhin’s own property. (90-92)

2022 Vosne-Romanée

The village Vosne has Vosne spice and tobacco in the nose. The mouth is silky and long with red and black fruits, spice, succulence, and elegance.  All fruit here was destemmed. (91-94)

2022 Beaune   1er Cru   Clos des Mouches

With the Breaune-Clos des Mouches, we jump to a new level, and a wine that could turn out to be more than excellent, even great. The nose has soy and floral notes. The mouth is intense with dark fruits, round, penetrating, complex, and changing. A little bit of whole clusters here. (93-96)

2022 Chambolle-Musigny   1er Cru

There’s potential greatness in the Chambolle 1er Cru, too. The wine has floral aromas. The mouth shows dark berry fruit, minerality, and layering, making for plenty of complexity. There’s also depth here and the finesse of Chambolle. (94-96)

2022 Charmes-Chambertin

There was a time when Charmes-Chambertin was a weak sister in the Drouhin lineup, but fortunately that time is becoming an increasingly distant memory, as Drouhin changed the location in the vineyard for its source a number of years ago. This wine is mineral and luscious with dark fruit, wildness, and complexity. There is a luminosity to the wine and also an attractive smooth, caressing texture. (94-96)
