2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques
The Gevrey-Clos St-Jacques has very good precision and freshness to its dark fruits, along with depth and energy. (93-95)
2017 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze
On the day that I tasted, the Chambertin-Clos de Bèze was surprisingly slightly less impressive. It showed red and dark fruits with freshness and salinity, but was not as precise as the two preceding wines. (92-94)
