Karsten Peter is coming into his own and putting Gut Hermannsberg (a successor to the old Staatsdomäne) back onto the map as one of the elite Nahe estates.




Dr. CRUSIUS

2017 (Traisen) Bastei Riesling GG
Honeyed nose. Smooth, round, relatively dumb today. 90?/B+

2017 (Traisen) Mühlberg “Im Rotenfels” Riesling GG
Intense, round, some strawberry with peach. Good length. Touch hot on finish. 91/A-




DÖNNHOFF

2017 (Niederhausen) Brücke Riesling GG
Perfumed, floral peach blossom. Intense, pure, concentrated apricot, outstanding length. 94+/A

2017 (Nordheim) Dellchen Riesling GG
Apricot fruit with a little rust; medium-weight; dense and concentrated. 93/A

2017 (Niederhausen) Hermannshöhle Riesling GG
Very fine peach nose. Medium-weight, intense peach, well-defined; good acidic support. 94/A





Gut HERMANNSBERG

2016 (Traisen) Bastei Riesling GG
White peach fruit, round, good depth, good firmness and acidity. 93/A

2016 (Niederhausen) Hermannsberg
Broad peach and apricot, power but also finesse; good acidic edge and minerality. 93/A

2017 (Altenberg) Rotenberg Riesling GG
Good acidity, peach and nectarine fruit, a little less on the ripe side (but not deficient, by any means). Good energy. 92(+)/A

2017 (Niederhausen) Steinberg Riesling GG
Peach, nectarine, good acidity, intensity, medium-weight, firm, with some power. 93/A
