This domaine slides a bit under the radar, but the experiences I’ve had with the wines have always been very good, and 2015 is no exception.

2015 Corton blanc
White Corton (as opposed to Corton-Charlemagne) remains a rarity, but Senard is one who has been producing it through the years. The wine shows some oak and is light on the palate with a smooth texture. There’s some lime here, too, but the wine needs more time to integrate. 91(+)/B
In red:
2015 Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru
The rusticity of Aloxe is present here with dark fruits, a smooth texture, and some tannins. 92/A
2015 Corton-Clos des Meix
Clos des Meix is generally considered one of the lesser Corton climats, but here it has made an attractive wine. It is denser than the Aloxe with dark fruits. The wine has closed down already, but there is good potential for those willing to wait. 93/A-
2015 Corton-Clos du Roi
The finesse of the Clos du Roi climat comes through here. The fruits are dark here, too, but this wine is less tannic than the Clos des Meix and may drink earlier. 94+/A
