Late-Released 2017 Nahe Riesling GG's (Bastei, Burgberg, [Wallhausen] Felseneck, Hermannsberg, Johannisberg): Diel, Hermannsberg, Salm

One can easily perceive the superiority of this vintage overall to 2018.

Schlossgut DIEL

2017 (Dorsheim) Burgberg Riesling GG
Very floral nose. Light, incisive, pure, mineral, clear, yellow fruit. 93/A

Gut HERMANNSBERG

2017 (Traisen) Bastei Riesling GG
Golden apple, good acidity, medium weight. 92/A

2017 (Niederhausen) Hermannsberg Rieslng GG
Green apple, medium-weight, dense, still needs time. 92+/A

Prinz SALM

2017 (Wallhausen) Felseneck Riesling GG
Round, apply, a touch of residual sugar, good length. 93/A

2017 (Wallhausen) Johannisberg Riesling GG
Clove spice in nose and mouth, dense, some power for Nahe. Perhaps a bit too severe from being too dry. 90/B+
