My experience with wines from this producer is not broad, but this quartet confirms my previous views: not at the top of the (very competitive) heap, but wines that I am more than happy to drink.

2015 Volnay
This attractive Volnay has dark fruits and is light on the tongue with a smooth texture. 89/A-
2015 Volnay 1er Cru Carelle sous la Chapelle
Clerget’s Volnay-Clos sou la Chapelle has spicy dark fruits, good concentration, and medium weight. 90+/B+
2015 Volnay 1er Cru Clos du Verseuil
Clos du Verseuil, a Clerget monopole, has a good situation, just downslope from Clos d’Audignac but with a better (full eastern) exposure, and just north of Taillepieds. There’s dark fruit here, some minerality, lightness on the palate, and good purity. 92/A
2015 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens
This Rugiens is from the lower part of the vineyard, considered by many experienced observers (but not me) to be the better part of the vineyard. The wine has tannin and density and needs time, as one expects for Rugiens. At this point, I have trouble seeing the Rugiens terroir, but that may come with further aging. 91/A-
