2015 Chorey-les-Beaune Pièce du Chapître
Chorey will not provide a grand cru experience, but there is much pleasure to be had at a modest price from good producers, and Tollot-Beaut does Chorey as well as anyone. The wine begins with a seductive floral nose. The mouth is light, pure, and long with dark fruits and a smooth texture. 91+/A
2015 Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Fournières
As one would expect, the Aloxe-Fournières shows more body and breadth than the Chorey. The wine has red cherry fruit and is open right now, although the wine has tannin for structure and aging. 93/A
2015 Corton-Bressandes
The Corton-Bressandes has darker fruit and more weight and is rounder than the Aloxe. Also there’s a fair amount of oak showing here. Give this wine 8-15 years to age and it should provide excellent drinking. 93+/A-
