Domaine Jean-Marc MILLOT (Nuits-Saint-Georges) -- 2015 Tasted from Bottle

(Originally published 27 July 2018.)

This is a very good collection, worth seriously considering should you come across the wines.

2015 Côte de Nuits-Village    Aux Faulques
This wine has dark fruits, especially cassis, with good structure and grip. It needs a few years in the cellar still, but there’s very good potential and typicity in this wine. 90/A

2015 Vosne-Romanée
From the Violettes and Maizières climats, the Vosne has depth and structure with dark fruit and good length. It will probably close up, but very good potential. 91+/A

2015 Echézeaux
Millot’s Echézeaux is perfumed in the nose. The mouth is medium-weight with dark fruits that are intense, dense, and penetrating. There’s some spice here, and good structure for aging. Expect the usual 15(+) years until this wine is mature. 94(+)/A

2015 Clos de Vougeot
Last, the Clos de Vougeot shows cassis and other dark berry fruit with intensity, depth, and purity, plus good structure. No rusticity here. Again, expect 15(+) years until the wine is mature.  94(+)/A
