2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges Lavières
Chauvenet's Nuits, Lavières has spice and smoke in the nose. The mouth is smooth and concentrated with spice and dark fruits. The wine is ripe and needs a few more years in the cellar to come together fully. 90+/A
2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Perrières
To my tastes, Nuits-Perrières is a consistently underrated vineyard. The wine has the stony aromas characteristic of Perrières. the mouth is dense and pure with a velvet texture. The wine is medium-weight and fresh, energetic, and young. Great potential here. 93+/A
