As with the Côte de Beaune wines, 2015 is a great vintage on the Nuits side for this outstanding estate. Also as on the Côte de Beaune, the frost in 2016 severely hit the Côte de Nuits vineyards here (Clos de la Roche is an exception). As I mentioned in the previous review, this is an estate that follows biodynamic practices.

2015 Chambolle-Musigny
Pousse d’Or's Chambolle is from seven separate parcels with vines between 25 and 50 years-old. The fruit here is dar and the wine is deep and full with Chambolle finesse and excellent complexity for a village wine. (90-93)
2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes
The Feusselottes averages about 40 years of age, with some of the vines being over 60. This wine is more closed than the village Chambolle, but it is promising with quite a bit of power for Feusselottes and great depth to its red and dark fruits. (91-95)
2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Groseilles
The Groseilles is from vines that are about 40 years old. The wine is deep and pure with dark fruit and even more finesse than the preceding wines. Great intensity and length here, too. (92-95)
2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes
The Charmes features mineral red and dark fruits with finesse, smoothness of texture, and overall harmony. (92-95)
2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses
Pousse d’Or's Amoureuses is pure and airy with red currant and other red fruits that are deep and penetrating. Nevertheless, this wine is relatively closed compared to the Charmes at this stage. (92-96)
2015 Bonnes-Mares
With the Bonnes-Mares, we begin to approach the upper realms of the vintage. The wine is magical with dark fruit, spice, lightness, length, and purity. (95-98)
2015 Clos de la Roche
The Bonnes-Mares notwithstanding, it was the Clos de la Roche that stole the show — I found it to be one of the favored appellations in 2015, and this wine, in particular one of the unforgettable wines of the vintage. The wine is extremely stony, pure, and deep with cassis fruit, wildness, nakedness — exactly what Clos de la Roche should be. It is medium-weight and complete. (96-99)
