Bonnaire is located in the village of Cramant on the Côte de Blancs. Celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, it has long been a favorite of mine.
NV Champagne Brut Nature Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs
Floral, stony, haunting nose. Stony in mouth, fairly full-bodied, deep and pure, with tension. Zero dosage, undergoes malolactic fermentation, base wine is from 2016, 100% Chardonnay. 93/A
2015 Champagne Cramant Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs
Pure, stony, long, light, deep, noble austerity. This is an ideal of Blanc de Blancs. 94/A+
NV Champagne Variance Extra Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Sous Bois
Rounder than the previous (which were vinified in tank, this in 205-liter wood casks with an average age of 6-7 years). This wine is vinous in texture with good density and the aromas and flavors show more development than the previous. 2.5 g/l dosage, undergoes malolactic fermentation, base wine is from 2015, 100% Chardonnay. 93/A
2008 Champagne Love Story
This very special wine is half Pinot Noir, half Chardonnay. It has deep aromas with iodide. The mouth is pure, intense, nervy, long, deep, and stony with great tension. 96/A+
