Vitamin nose. Light, smooth mouth, not a lot of depth or concentration. Red fruits. Simple. 86?/C

Less oaky than other Burggarten wines, although oak is still noticeable. Dark fruit, tightly-knit, lacks precision. 86/C

Toasty nose. Medium-light, smooth, round, lacks energy and definition. 84/F

Fruity, simple, medium-weight, some tannin. 85/D


2019 (Mayschoss) Mönchberg Spätburgunder GG 

Toast and allspice in nose. Dense, dark fruit, but also charcoal that mars the purity. 85/D

Spicy nose. Cassis and other dark fruits, minerality, medium-light, good penetration and length. 91/A-
