Finesse, precision, lightness on tongue, very elegant with a chalky base. 91/A-
2018 (Mölsheim) Zellerweg am Schwarzen Herrgott Riesling GG
Meaty white fruits in nose and mouth. Light, finesse. Smooth, round, light on tongue. 91/A-

Chalky nose. Pure, ripe apricot fruit, medium-weight, firm, chalky texture, good depth. One of the best 2018 GG’s that I tasted. 93+/A

Ripe apricot, silky texture, not especially deep, but sensual. 93/A

2018 (Worms) Liebfrauenstift Kirchenstück Riesling GG
Some yellow peach, but not terribly ripe, deep, or sensual. Some hardness. 90/B+
2018 (Westhofen) Morstein Riesling GG
Lots of white grapefruit in nose and mouth. Hard, some roundness, some chalk. Needs time. 88+/B-
KELLER
2018 (Westhofen) Brunnenhäuschen “Abts E” Riesling GG
Leesy nose. Citric white fruits, medium-weight, good length in mouth. 91+/A-
WINTER
2018 (Dittelsheim) Geiersberg Riesling GG
Silky, with some yellow and green plum fruit. Not the structure of Leckerberg. Long in mouth. 92/A
2018 (Dittelsheim) Kloppberg Riesling GG
More dark and red plum here than in other two Winter GG’s; rounder, more powerful, less hard. 92+/A
2018 (Dittelsheim) Leckerberg Riesling GG
Chalky nose. Green and yellow plum fruit, some structure here. Light on palate. 92/A
WITTMANN
2018 (Westhofen) Aulerde Riesling GG
Chalky nose with peach underneath. Medium-weight in mouth, round, silky, peach, finesse. 93/A
2018 (Westhofen) Brunnenhäuschen Riesling GG
Lightly floral, somewhat dusty nose. Elegant white fruits, great finesse, good length. Very noble. One of the top GG’s of the vintage. 93(+)/A
